The idea of the new project is to build a clinker plant in Denisov district of Kostanay region and a network of grinding stations for the production of cement using imported clinker on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
Cement production will consist of two stages: the first – the production of clinker, and the second - the production of cement using clinker produced.
The construction of the plant will be carried out on a nearby territory of 24 hectares. The total amount of investments is about 147 mln US dollars.
The product will be cement of two brands: М400 D20 and М500 D0.
Features of the project:
The Caspian group owns the deposits of limestone and clay in Kostanay region (Shekubay). The reserves of limestone at Shekubay deposit of A+B+C1 category are 225 mln tons. The reserves of clay of A+B+C1 category are 68 mln tons. Clinker grinding at the stations of nearby regions (five grinding stations with a capacity of up to 200 thousand tons per year).
The geographical proximity of the adjacent Russian regions (Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Kurgan, Tyumen and Bashkortostan) makes this project attractive for potential investors from Russia. They can be both construction organizations, interested in regular supplies of stable quality cement, and other investors wishing to invest in promising production.
Taking into account the cancellation of customs barriers between Russia and Kazakhstan, the supply of Kazakhstan raw materials for cement production will have a significant advantage over other importers.
The implementation of this project will promote further integration between our countries.
The project’s planned results:
The plant’s capacity at the first stage will be 3,850 tons of cement clinker per day (1.2 mln tons per year). It is also planned to produce 4,450 tons of cement per day (1.38 mln tons per year).
