Demand for steel rebar gradually stabilizes, due to
mitigation of quarantine measures in the country. In addition, it appears that
speculative attacks form on the market. It relates with expectation of bullish
trade price reversal and traders reach to contract additional volumes.
Shipments of steel rebar from two platforms of EVRAZ reduced by 18% in May,
relating to April, up to 23,4 thousand
tons. However players inform that producer declined to accept further orders
because of high batch of rolling equipment. EVRAZ Caspian Steel facilities
loaded with orders from foreign counterparties.
According to production plan, export of EVRAZ Caspian steel rebar grow 2,2 times, up to 14,8 thousand tons in Central Asia countries. At the same time domestic supplies reduce by 36%, up to 13,5 thousand tons.
