Decree of the Head of State "On changes in the administrative-territorial structure of Almaty region"

In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Administrative-Territorial Structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan" I DECLARE:

1. To reorganize Ili district of Almaty region by separating Zhetygen village from it.

2. To categorize Zhetygen village of Ili district of Almaty region as a town of regional significance and to rename it into Alatau town.

3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take the necessary measures to implement paragraphs 1 and 2 of this Decree.

4. This Decree shall come into effect from the date of its first official publication.
