Developer Yuriy Tskhay said that Alatau City will be
built at the expense of private funds, the correspondent of Tengrinews.kz reports.
According to the well-known businessman, the Alatau
City roadshow will be held in South Korea in October 2025 with the
participation of Hyundai, Samsung, Lotte and other major corporations.
“The assignments, which mentioned in the Head of
State`s Address will give a significant impetus to the development of Alatau
City. The special status of the city and a separate law are critically
important components, without which the creation of advanced cities is
difficult. For the rest, we have ensured high readiness. A pool of foreign
investors has been created who are ready to participate in Alatau City. The
city will be built at the expense of private funds,” - he emphasized.
Discussing the attraction of international investors
to Alatau City, Yuriy Tskhay highlighted the overseas roadshows designed to
showcase the city’s key advantages to global capital.
“In close cooperation with the government, we are
actively working at the international level. In September, a trilateral
framework agreement was signed in Beijing between the National Investment
Corporation of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, JSC Caspian Group, and CSCEC
International Construction Corporation Ltd — a subsidiary of China’s largest
construction corporation,” he said.
“Alatau City is not only looking toward China. The
United States, South Korea, Singapore, and the Middle East are also seen as
strategic directions for future growth. Earlier this spring, we held a roadshow
in Singapore, and in mid-October we will organize another one in Seoul. Global
leaders such as Hyundai, Samsung, and Lotte are already showing strong and
tangible interest in Alatau City,” he noted.
Just to remind, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in
his latest Address to the Nation, instructed the government to prepare within
ten days a draft decree granting Alatau City a special status, placing it under
the direct authority of the central government.
