The Alatau city project was presented in Seoul

Alatau city was presented to large South Korean companies, the correspondent 24KZ reports. A roadshow dedicated to a new city in the Almaty region, has held in Seoul. A government delegation of Kazakhstan, headed by Deputy Prime minister Kanat Bozumbayev, arrived in South Korea in order to attract investors to this project.

About 400 representatives of the government and companies of South Korea attended the Alatau city presentation. In order for them to assess the scale of the Kazakhstan megaproject, it was compared with one of the major cities in South Korea. Alatau city will cover an area of 88 thousand hectares, which is 1,4 times larger, than the territory of Pusan.

The models for attracting investments to the new metropolis, Deputy Prime minister Kanat Bozumbayev announced Shenzhen, Dubai and Ruesselsheim.

Kanat Bozumbayev, Deputy Prime minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

- The territory has been declared a Special Economic zone, proposing incentives to foreign investors, such as exemption from corporate income tax, land and property taxes, land fees and zero VAT rate on goods, sold in the Alatau city.

It is no coincidence that the first presentation of Kazakhstan's Alatau City was held in South Korea. Our countries have strong historical and cultural relationships: today about 100 thousand ethnic Koreans live in Kazakhstan. One of the representatives of this diaspora - Chairman of the Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan and businessman Yuriy Tskhay – actively promotes and implements the Alatau city project.

Yuriy Tskhay, businessman:

- This project has gone through a very difficult path, covered 18 years. But now our President fully supports this project, he even named this a nationwide project.
