A two-day roadshow
dedicated to the Alatau City project in the Almaty region has come to an end in
Seoul. A correspondent from 24KZ attended the forum.
The composition of the Kazakh delegation gave an indication of the areas in which Kazakhstan and South Korea will cooperate in the construction of Alatau. Representatives of the Ministries of Science and Higher Education, Transport, Energy, Industry and Construction, as well as Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, arrived in Seoul. It became known that our country plans to use South Korea's experience in implementing smart technologies in Alatau.
It is possible that the first university to be built in Alatau will be the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Negotiations on this are currently underway between representatives of the two countries. The South Korean government also plans to invest in research on the production of rare earth metals. A memorandum of understanding was signed at the forum between the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan and the South Korean Airport Corporation.
The two countries plan to
jointly develop an air taxi service in the city of Alatau.  As noted by representatives of the Kazakh
ministries, Alatau is ideal for the development of air taxi services. The
government is ready to amend laws in order to quickly introduce the most modern
technologies in the new city. South Korean businessmen, in turn, intend to come
to Almaty in the near future in order to get to know the Alatau City
megaproject in more detail.
