Alatau’s Special Status: Which laws will apply in the city

Mazhilis Deputy Bakhytzhan Bazarbek spoke on the sidelines of a government meeting about approaches to regulating the future city with special status, according to a Kazinform correspondent.

According to him, in a city with special status, certain areas of public relations will be governed by national legislation.

“For example, issues of national security, defense, and the social sphere will be regulated by national legislation,” Bazarbek noted.

At the same time, certain areas, such as land relations and construction, are planned to be regulated by the city’s own special internal legislation.
