President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin. During the meeting, it was announced that an agreement had been signed to construct the first hotel of the renowned Korean brand in Almaty.
The Head of State noted that Lotte has been operating in Kazakhstan for many years and has already made a significant contribution to the development of the food industry. One of the key examples is the development of the Rakhat brand and the modernization of production facilities in Almaty and Shymkent.
The company also plans to expand Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics infrastructure and invest in the development of Alatau City. In particular, Lotte is considering participating in the development of the Iconic Complex, which is envisioned as a landmark project for the new city.
Shin Dong-bin confirmed plans for further investment in Kazakhstan’s food industry, logistics, and hospitality sectors.
