President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Seong-suk reviewed projects for Alatau Smart City, Kazinform reports citing Akorda.
The presentation highlighted the key development priorities of Alatau City, including the creation of modern infrastructure, fostering a favorable investment environment, the deployment of digital technologies, and the development of new forms of urban mobility.
Particular attention was given to the practical involvement of Korean partners in the project. Joint initiatives with KIND, KAIST, and Korea Airports Corporation were presented in areas including the development of K-Smart Town, education and R&D infrastructure, urban air mobility, as well as the application of digital modelling and artificial intelligence technologies.
The presentation also featured the UAM/UTM urban air mobility management system, which envisages the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and air taxis.
Alatau City is envisioned as an open international platform bringing together urban development, education and research, industry and logistics, digital technologies, and investment cooperation.
