UK export finance reviews Alatau City projects
One of the key events of the visit was a roundtable discussion with the management of UK Export Finance (UKEF), the UK's government-backed export credit agency.
The meeting focused on potential financing mechanisms for Alatau City's infrastructure projects, including export credits, bank guarantees, and other government-backed instruments designed to support British exports.
Discussions covered several priority areas of urban infrastructure development:
• Construction of energy facilities.
• Development of water supply and wastewater management systems.
• Establishment of transport infrastructure.
• Engagement of British engineering equipment suppliers and technology providers.
The proposed approach aims to align Alatau City's infrastructure requirements with the capabilities of British exporters and financial institutions.
However, specific financing amounts and lending terms have not yet been announced. The discussions focused on potential mechanisms for cooperation rather than confirmed financial commitments.
