Alatau
city will create unique conditions for international corporations due to the introduction
of a new system of common law and special incentive regimes. This was announced
by Heang Fine Wong, Chairman of Asia Infrastructure Solutions Singapore and
member of the Alatau City Development Council.
According
to him, the new city will offer foreign businesses a fundamentally different
operating model that will allow them to freely attract talent and capital. The
Gate District financial cluster, which will be closely integrated with the
Astana International Financial Center, will play a special role in this
process.
"I
believe that this will contribute significantly to Kazakhstan's GDP growth. As
in many other cases, the multiplier effect can be manifold. It all depends on
which sector of the financial industry we are looking at. We are focusing on
PropTech, as well as cryptocurrencies and new digital assets. This is a new
type of industry that is currently not available anywhere else in
Kazakhstan," said Heang Fine Wong.
