Bolat Zhamishev: The state will provide infrastructure for the Alatau region, the rest is up to private investors.

The development of Alatau City will be driven primarily by private capital. The new management model is designed to create exceptional conditions for business, with all key administrative and economic issues resolved from a single center, providing investors with long-term predictability. This was announced by Bolat Zhamishev, a member of the Alatau City Development Council, according to Kazpravda.kz.

According to him, to ensure investment security, the operating conditions of each large enterprise will be specified in individual licenses, guaranteeing a stable legal regime. The city will grow around four centers: industrial, logistics, scientific and medical, and tourist zones.

"It's important to understand that Alatau doesn't envisage the creation of some kind of special economic zone with tax incentives in this city. We're talking about a so-called Charter City scheme, where all city matters are managed from a single center. It's envisioned that the city, with the exception of critical infrastructure, will be built using private investment. The goal is to create a legal and organizational environment that will facilitate investment and open the city to new industries," noted Bolat Zhamishev.
