Members
of Parliament approved the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of
Kazakhstan “On the special status of the city of Alatau” in the first reading,
according to Kazinform correspondent.
Parliament
approved the bill on the special status of Alatau in the first reading.
Earlier, Deputy Prime-minister Kanat Bozumbayev reported on the main provisions
of the draft law.
As
noted by Majilis member Nurtay Sabilyanov, 527 proposals regarding this draft
law were submitted by deputies and committees of the Parliament Chambers.
Deputies
introduced amendments to bring certain provisions of the bill into line with
the provisions of the new Constitution, which provide for the introduction of a
special legal regime.
