In his address at the international forum ‘Administrative Justice and its Role in Ensuring the Rule of Law’, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasised that the new Constitution is aimed at strengthening the country’s investment potential, reports Elordainfo.kz, citing Akorda.
"However, we must not rest on our laurels. We must work hard and strive for even higher goals. Our country has more than enough potential for this.
Specific provisions aimed at strengthening the state’s investment potential have been added to the new Constitution.
In particular, a decision was taken to introduce a special legal regime for the financial sector and cities undergoing accelerated development.
As you know, I recently signed the Constitutional Law ‘On the Special Legal Regime of the City of Alatau’. This important document establishes the legal framework for the creation of a ‘smart city’ ecosystem.
The special legal regime provides for the expansion of public administration powers, extending even to the specific functioning of the judicial system.
Progressive regulatory instruments will enable us to implement global best practices, test cutting-edge innovative solutions, and create all the necessary conditions for the realisation of this unique project.
Our main goal is to transform the city of Alatau into a digital agglomeration of the future, a hub for new technologies. The state is ready for open, mutually beneficial cooperation with business representatives,” said the President.
