The foundation will independently select projects for funding
Vyacheslav Kim, co-founder of Kaspi.kz and sole shareholder of Alatau City Bank, has announced the establishment of the multifunctional AÑSA HUB in Alatau City. An endowment fund worth $100 million will be created to provide sustainable funding for its projects, according to a press release from AÑSA Foundation.
AÑSA HUB will operate across four main areas: educational and infrastructure projects in Alatau City and other regions of Kazakhstan; the development and commercialisation of science; venture investments; and grant funding for projects in science, art, culture, and sports.
According to the press release, the hub plans to engage scientists and universities from Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, as well as international researchers and investors, in joint initiatives.
“I want Kazakhstan to be known around the world as a smart country that is doing everything possible to develop its talent,” Kim said.
